1. Definitions

The following terms are used throughout this document with the meanings given here:

• Agreement — these Terms and Conditions, together with any written service estimate or plan provided to you.
• Service — any watch repair, servicing, or restoration work carried out by us, as described on our website or in a written quotation.
• User / You / Your — any person who visits our website, submits an enquiry, or deposits a timepiece with us.
• We / Us / Our — Phet Bua, operating from 204 Phaholyothin Road, Chatuchak, Bangkok 10900, Thailand.
• Timepiece — any watch, pocket watch, clock, or similar item left with us for inspection or work.
• Content — all text, images, and materials appearing on our website at phetbuat.cyou.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, submitting an enquiry form, or depositing a timepiece with us, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. You also confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement — for example, that you own or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner of any timepiece you submit.

3. Service Description

Phet Bua offers mechanical watch servicing, case restoration, and heritage restoration from our workshop in Chatuchak, Bangkok. Our services are described on our website and, in more detail, in the written assessment we provide before beginning work.

Services are available to customers who can bring or courier a timepiece to our Bangkok workshop. We do not currently operate satellite locations.

Service availability may be affected by our workshop schedule, the complexity of work, and parts availability. We will communicate openly if any of these factors affect your timepiece.

4. User Responsibilities

General conduct

When interacting with our workshop and website you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about yourself and the timepiece.
• Disclose any known damage, prior repairs, or modifications to your timepiece.
• Respond to our communications within a reasonable time.
• Collect your timepiece within the agreed period after work is complete.

Prohibited activities

You agree not to:

• Submit timepieces you do not own or lack authority to have repaired.
• Provide false or misleading information about a watch's provenance or condition.
• Use our website in any way that could damage, overload, or impair its operation.
• Attempt to copy, scrape, or reproduce our website content without permission.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, photographs, workshop documentation, and the Phet Bua name and mark — is our property or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of our website content without written agreement from us.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive licence to access and browse the website for the purpose of enquiring about or arranging our services. No other rights are granted.

Photographs we take of your timepiece during the course of work remain our property but are used solely to document the work carried out. We will not publish images of your timepiece without your consent.

6. Payment Terms

Pricing

Published prices on our website are starting-point indications in Thai Baht (฿). A written quotation will be provided following inspection and agreed before any work begins. No work is carried out without your explicit approval of the cost.

Payment

Payment is due upon collection of your timepiece. We accept cash (Thai Baht) and bank transfer. The applicable payment methods will be confirmed at the time of quotation.

Additional costs

If additional work is identified during the course of a service, we will pause, contact you with an updated estimate, and proceed only with your approval.

Uncollected timepieces

Timepieces not collected within 90 days of notification that work is complete, despite reasonable attempts to contact you, may be subject to a storage charge. We will make every reasonable effort to reach you before any such charge applies.

7. Service-Specific Terms

Inspection and assessment

Each timepiece receives an initial inspection before we commit to a price. Inspection is free of charge if you choose to proceed with the quoted service. If you decline, a small inspection fee may apply — this will be disclosed to you before inspection begins.

Turnaround times

Indicative turnaround times are provided in good faith. They may be affected by parts sourcing, the condition discovered during work, or our workshop schedule. We will keep you informed of any material delay.

Parts and materials

Where replacement parts are required, we source or fabricate parts appropriate to the age and type of the movement. We will describe the parts proposed and obtain your agreement before fitting them.

Original condition

We take great care to preserve original features. Where a decision must be made about patina, markings, or original components, we will discuss this with you beforehand.

8. Disclaimers

Our website content is provided for information only. While we take care to keep it accurate, we make no warranties about its completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

Mechanical watches are complex instruments. We cannot foresee every outcome when working on aged or previously modified movements. We will describe risks honestly before beginning work.

The information on this website does not constitute professional advice for any specific timepiece. Please contact us directly with questions about your watch.

9. Limitation of Liability

Where our work falls short of the standard described in our written service plan, we will discuss the matter and work toward a fair resolution. Our liability in any such case is limited to the cost of the service you paid for.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including any sentimental or collector value beyond the agreed service price.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our own negligence or wilful misconduct.

Force majeure events — including natural disasters, floods, fires, or events beyond reasonable control — may affect our ability to complete or return a timepiece. We will communicate openly if such circumstances arise.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold Phet Bua harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these terms, inaccurate information you have provided, or your submission of a timepiece you were not authorised to deposit.

11. Termination

You may cancel a service at any time before work has commenced, with no charge. If work is already underway, we will invoice for the work completed to that point and return the timepiece promptly.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a service if we discover information that materially affects the scope or our ability to carry out the work safely and ethically. In such cases, we will explain our position and return the timepiece without charge for work not yet begun.

Provisions relating to intellectual property, liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive the end of any service relationship.

12. Dispute Resolution

Informal resolution

If a concern arises, we ask that you first contact us directly at [email protected]. Most matters can be addressed promptly through straightforward conversation.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any unresolved dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Thai courts, with proceedings conducted in Bangkok.

Thai consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522 and related legislation, apply where relevant.

13. General Provisions

• Entire agreement: These terms, together with any written service estimate, constitute the complete agreement between us.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it in future.
• Assignment: We may assign our obligations to a successor business. You may not transfer your rights without our written consent.
• Notices: Formal notices should be sent to our email address or physical address below.

14. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
